The Lake Villa School District #41 Curriculum Advisory Council meets throughout the school year to review study and discuss and assess curriculum, standards and programs offered in the District. The Curriculum Advisory Council plays an essential role in maintaining the District as a learning organization.
The Council is chaired by Dr. Alex Barbour, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning. Dr. Barbour will make certain there is a balance in representation from all levels of critical involvement in student learning. Board members, administrators, teachers, staff, parents/guardians and community members are invited to participate actively in the Council.
A regular agenda is prepared for the meetings and participants are given the opportunity to add items to the agenda. The dates for the Curriculum Advisory Council meetings for the 2019-2020 school year are:
The meetings are held in the Palombi Middle School Learning Center, 133 McKinley Avenue, Lake Villa, and begin at 5:00 p.m.
