4 Year Old Preschool Program

  •

Lake Villa District 41 operates an "at-risk" preschool program for children who are 4 years of age on or before Sept. 1st of the upcoming school year.

All children are screened by the district prior to be enrolled in the program. Not all children are accepted.

To register for a preschool screening, please contact Laura Eschbach in the district office. Her direct line is (847) 245-8053 or you may email her at leschbach@district41.org. Screenings are held approximately once a month on a Monday (unless there is a holiday).

Parents will need to provide to the district a copy of their child's birth certificate and "proof of residency" (gas, electric, water bill, etc). Parents/guardians will be required to fill out a short registration form. A parent questionniare will also be given to parents to complete and return to district on the day of their child's screening. After the screening is completed, the parent/guardian will be contacted about the results of the screening and if their child is being invited into the program.

PLEASE DO NOT REGSITER YOUR CHILD FOR THE PROGRAM PRIOR TO BEING SCREENED.

    3 Year Old Preschool Program

Please know that currently Lake Villa District 41 doesn't have a prechool program for children 3 years of age. The district operates an early childhood special education program. Children enrolled in this program have gone through a comprehensive evaluation to determine eligibility for special education services. Children who are found to have moderate to significant developmental delays are enrolled into the program. Children as young as 3 years of age can be found eligible for this program.

If a parent/guardian has concerns regarding their child's development, please contact Laura Eschbach in the district office to arrange for a preschool screening. Her direct line is (847) 245-8053 or you may email her at leschbach@district41.org.
