Mrs. Molly Short

My name is Molly Short. I absolutely love ELA and working with middle school students. I am married and have two children, Hadley and Adeline. We also have a rescue dog named Memphis. This is my eleventh year teaching, and over the years I have taught sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. I have a master’s degree in reading and literacy.

My hope is that I can help my students become better writers, readers, and communicators, all the while fostering a community where they can develop their own love for the written and spoken word.

If you need anything, please email me at molly.short@district41.org or call me at 847-245-8064.

    Welcome!

Welcome to 7th-grade ELA and/or Read 180! I’m so glad you’re here.  I'm sure you're a little bit anxious about your first day, but I can assure you, it will be awesome. We will spend our first day of school with our LEAD Room teachers, so I may not get to meet you until our second day of school.

Until then, if you have any questions, or need any help, please never hesitate to reach out! Enjoy this last week of summer!
