Securly Home App

The "Securly Home" app provides parents with a suite of features to monitor and manage their student's online activity on school-issued devices when they are at home. To get started, check your inbox for an email containing app login information from Securly.

Monitoring and Visibility:

  • Real-time Activity Feed: View a real-time list of your child's online activity, including:

    • Websites visited (URL).

    • Content category.

    • Date and time of activity.

    • Search terms and videos watched.

  • Flagged Activities: View a dedicated list of activities that Securly's AI has flagged as potentially indicative of self-harm, bullying, or other concerning content.

  • Weekly Email Reports: Receive a high-level snapshot of your child's online activity directly to your inbox.

  • Stories: Quickly view curated, daily summaries of your child's online activity (refreshes daily).

  • Notifications: Opt-in to receive push notifications for flagged activities (e.g., signs of bullying or self-harm).

Control and Management:

  • Rules/Web Filtering:

    • Category Blocking: Block or allow pre-defined categories of websites (e.g., Pornography, Drugs, Gambling) with a single tap.

    • Specific Site Blocking/Allowing: Manually enter specific web addresses (URLs) to block or allow.

    • Safe Search/Video: Toggle on or off site- and search engine-specific settings like Google's Safe Search and YouTube's Safe Video to enforce an extra layer of safety.

  • Pause Internet: Temporarily disable (or re-enable) internet connectivity for your child's school-issued device with a single tap.

  • Offline Schedules: Set specific time windows (like "Bedtime" or "Family Time") during which the device's internet access will be paused.
