Lake Villa District 41 and Thompson School welcomes incoming Assistant Principal, Erinn Vincent!
Dear Lake Villa Community,
I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new assistant principal of Thompson Elementary School. My career has been focused on the education and social emotional well-being of young students. I look forward to the work we will take on together to build an inviting and engaging learning environment for our students.
Before joining District 41, I worked as a Spanish teacher, Social-Emotional Learning curriculum leader, musical director and the advisor of a student leadership club at the junior high level. These experiences have shaped my values and made me a champion for every student. Taking on one leadership experience led me to another which led to another, eventually leading me to Thompson.
I was drawn to District 41 and Thompson Elementary because of the Vision Statements. Lake Villa 41 declaring that the goal is to “Learn, Lead, Serve” struck me. The very best leaders are the ones who serve their community. In the past, by working with parents, students, teachers and administrators, I have been able to curate community events that benefit the local and global communities. I am thrilled to be working with a community who values service as much as I do.
The District motto “Achieving Excellence Takes Everyone” reminds me of theater. Every actor and crew member creates a successful production. I’ve always worked to include every single student, to learn what they can contribute and use that to create the most unique productions possible. The next production is the Thompson Elementary School Year 25-26! I can’t wait to get started!
As we get closer to starting the show, I want you to know I am committed to working with each of you to enhance the educational and social-emotional well being of both students and Thompson staff through positivity, creativity, and empathy.
