March Newsletter

Dear Parent and/or Guardian:

The Palombi students worked extremely hard last week while taking tests in both reading and math for the Illinois Assessment of Readiness. We were very proud of our Lancers! Our eighth grade also took the Illinois Science Assessment. In the coming weeks, we will be testing any student that missed any of these important tests.

At the beginning of the new trimester, students earn a new chance to create habits that will make them successful for the term and the rest of their life. We will be having students review their Wildly Important Goals in order to stay focused on reaching their highest potential. Please continue to check Power School to help them keep track of their work.

In celebration of trimester two successes, Palombi will be sending out trimester two honor roll certificates to students next week. We want to applaud all the great work these students have done to earn this award.

In Partnership,

Dr. Vic Wight                                                              Mrs. Angela Sisi                               Mrs. Julie Pozezinski Principal                                                                        Dean of Students                           Dean of Student Services

April 4th - Election Day - ELearning Day
Lake Villa School District 41 was identified as a polling site by the Lake County Clerk’s Office for the April 4th, 2023 elections.  Because we cannot secure our buildings from the general public, the district will be shifting to an e-Learning Day on April 4th.  Your child’s school will share your child’s e-Learning schedule for the day.   We apologize for the inconvenience, but we want to ensure everyone’s safety.

5 Essentials Parent Survey
We sent out a parent survey link for the 5 Essentials and currently have around 70 submissions. We would love your feedback, as we utilize this in our school improvement process. Here is the link to that survey once again: 5 Essentials Parent Survey
