Lake Villa District 41 Community Newsletter 2025
Dear Lake Villa District 41 Stakeholders,
Student success remains at the heart of everything we do in Lake Villa District 41. As we conclude the first year of our Portrait of a Graduate initiative, we proudly reflect on the growth we've seen in our students as critical thinkers, communicators, and collaborators—skills essential for thriving in a rapidly changing world.
This progress has been made possible through the dedication of our educators, the support of our families, and the involvement of our community partners. Together, we’ve created empowering learning environments where students are inspired to take ownership of their education.
This year has also brought many exciting milestones and recognitions, including:
A Lake Villa District 41 teacher being named Lake County Educator of the Year
Several staff members honored by the Lake County Regional Office of Education
A special partnership with the Lake Villa Historical Society to celebrate the legacy of Pleviak School
Judy Bock recognized as Board of Education Citizen of the Year
The successful first year of Illustrative Math, boosting student engagement
and deep understanding
The completion of our first year of PreK for All, supporting strong starts for our youngest learners
We also look forward to welcoming a new principal and assistant principal to our leadership team and invite community members to consider joining the Board of Education—a meaningful way to help shape the future of education in District 41.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Kindly,
Dr. Sandra Keim-Bounds
Superintendent of Schools
