Our science classroom is getting a new addition! On Tuesday, we will be welcoming a leopard gecko as our new classroom pet! 💚

Our new little friend will provide students with opportunities to connect what we learn in science to the real world. Throughout the year, students will learn about food chains, the needs of healthy organisms, and habits.

We are so excited for students to have the opportunity to observe, learn from, and help care for our new classroom pet! We think this will be a fun and meaningful addition to our science classroom. 🦎🔬

As you continue to enjoy your summer, I wanted to get three important dates on your calendar. Curiosity Day is August 18th 1:45-2:45 for students with the last name beginning with A-L, and 2:45-3:45 for students with the last name beginning with M-Z. The first day of school is Wednesday, August 19th 7:32am-10:30am. Curriculum Night is then August 26th from 6pm-7:30pm.

LEARN: Mrs. Grosclaude's 7th grade ELA classes have been busy learning about the '60's while reading The Outsiders. They created a psychedelic quilt, a word wall with slang from the 1960's, a graffiti wall, and tattoos or wanted posters for one of the characters! #elevateLV41
