Thompson’s Student Lighthouse Team proudly participated in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Lake Villa this weekend. Our students represented Thompson with great energy and Tiger pride as they joined the community in celebrating this fun local tradition. Thank you to our Student Lighthouse members for being such wonderful ambassadors for our school and for demonstrating leadership both in and out of the classroom. The students in Mrs. Sylvester's class had a visit from the Astronomical Society! They were very inquisitive and showed this by asking exceptional questions. They learned so much, such as the different colors of the stars, how stars are formed, and the different phases of the moon. The students were also exposed to great vocabulary words: totality, lunar, big bang theory, etc. Thank you so much for coming, Mr. Layne and Ms. Kim. I think you inspired some students to work for NASA in the future! #Mustangsmakeithappen
